I'm making a reduced size front fender for one thing and the stock front fender uses spacers below the stock brace making for crappy bracing. I've also heard many a complaint about the stock brace not being very good. It was just a fun project, to make the bike even more custom. I learned about it on the VX forum.

Just curious, why did you go with a new front fork brace?
Finished my front fender and brace last weekend. Just stock with some paint and new bolts. Need to get some pics up.
